I have taught various subjects in the history department at South Pittsburg High School for five years. I graduated from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte in 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in English with a minor in History. In 2018, I completed my Master's degree in Secondary Education-ESL at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Learning and Leadership at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, photography, and traveling. My favorite place to vacation is Blowing Rock/Boone, North Carolina.
